ACC Awarded Over $100K from Colorado OER Grant Program

Arapahoe Community College (ACC) has been awarded a combined total of $104,079.96 through the Colorado Open Educational Resources (OER) Grant Program for the 2026-27 cohort 8 cycle.
 
ACC received $60,945.18 for its proposal titled 鈥淭o Affordability and Beyond: Colorado Space Institute at ACC Z-Degree Curricula Development鈥, as well as $43,134.78 for its proposal titled 鈥淚ncentivizing OER Adoption at ACC鈥.
 
The Colorado OER Grant Program, run by the Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE) and administered by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education, funds the adoption and development of OER at institutions across the state. Z-degrees, or Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) degrees, are degree pathways in which students use OER instead of traditional, costly textbooks.
 
More than 25,000 ACC students have saved over since the fall of 2019.
