Apply for Financial Aid by completing your . An academic year starts with the Fall semester.

  If you miss the FAFSA deadline, you can still complete the FAFSA. Do this as soon as possible because it can take up to 6 weeks to process and get aid awarded.

• If you have been out of high school for more than 5 years and have no other college English or math coursework, take our college placement test to determine which level English and math classes to take.

• Complete the 2-part Student Orientation Experience to learn more about ACC resources, services, and activities. The first part is online and can be accessed through . You'll learn all about the services we provide to you at ACC.
• All students attending college for the first time (after high school) are required to complete student orientation. We recommend you complete orientation if you aren't a first time college student, but it isn't required. 

• Meet with your Academic Advisor before registering for classes. Advisors will help you get the most out of your time and money while you are at ACC by making sure you are taking the right classes for your degree, or certificate, or to transfer to a 4-year institution. (This is the 2nd part of the Student Orientation Experience.)

• To be a successful college student, you will need:
  • Regular access to a laptop or desktop computer
  • Reliable internet access

• View payment deadlines, see your monthly invoices, and pay for courses through the Student Finance tab. Make sure you pay before the deadline or sign up for a payment plan before the deadline. If you do not meet payment deadlines, you will be dropped from your courses.

• Purchase your textbooks or at the Bookstore before your classes start. Finding your textbooks is easy: enter your S# on the bookstore's  and select the semester to pull up your schedule. Take a copy with you if you go to the bookstore.

• Login to and click on the envelope icon in the upper left corner. All email communications must be done through your student email. Don't forget to .

• Your Electronic ACC ID Card came in your acceptance email.
• Print it, or take a screenshot of it and retain it on your phone.
• Contact the Records & Enrollment Services office if you are having difficulty printing or saving.

Download important ACC apps to get campus alerts, make appointments, and get important updates and reminders.

• Get your Parking Pass from Campus Police or the Sturm Collaboration Campus Welcome Desk. You will need your receipt from the Cashier's Office or from . Passes are $25 for Fall or Spring semester or $40 for an annual pass.
